Dr. Novick's Heart Project
As a Project Partner with Dr. Novick;s Novick Cardiac Alliance we seek Donations on their behalf of Cash or Kind.
Dr. Novick - Medical Director of the Novick Cardiac Alliance, is responsible for organizing over 40 pediatric cardiac surgical operative and educational trips yearly around the world and performing heart sugeries on children in war zones.
His teams provide surgery to over 600 hundred children annually on trips to 12 different countries. Additionally as the Paul Nemir Professor of Surgery and International Child Health at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center he enables medical students from UT and other schools to travel and experience firsthand what global cardiac healthcare is all about.

Make a Dream Come True for Orphans
Top To Toe Make-Overs for orphans Johnny & Jill
Did I tell you the story of my daughter looking to adopt? She was notified that there were children age 12 and up who if not adopted would lose their State Funding and fall through the cracks. She met and fell in love with an unwanted, inconvenient abandoned Foster Black kid because she was single wth a responsible full time job and was afraid of taking too much especially a black tween of a different culture than us. Then after a few visits and meetings she decided to drop him off and he asked her at the curb with his suitcase she bought him- 'Are you not going to adopt me? So you don't want me too?'
hat did it for her. His question melted her heart. She scooped him up, and took him home with her and adopted him as her own. As expected, all the well wishers and promised 'helpers' dropped off one by one. He was the Only Black Adopted Child in an all-white middle class neighbood He had no friends. No one invited her to their backyard BBQ's because of HIM with whispers of 'He is Black'!
She underwent therapy and he this beautful unwanted child has been undergoing intense therapy from the unforgettable trauma of being abandoned, given away, inconvenient and unloved from the moment he was born, and get this- with crack in his system!
How does a child learn to love after that? How does a child learn to fit in when he walks the street and pedestrians cross to the other side? How does he learn to adjust when he was 'diagnosed' with ADHD, forced to swallow Adderaol and yet perform like the rich kids in his class?
How does an abandoned child no one wanted or loved, learn hot to love in Foster Homes with no real parents who have their interest? How does society expect him to behave normarlly when they didn't do their own job in the first place?
Giving birth to a human is the most responsible thing you can do for a human but abandoning them and giving them away like they meant nothing? That is a travesty of parenthood and society. But his story showed me that there are 430,000 like him born and abandoned by parents every year . I Dedicate my Life to Help make their Dreams Come True. But I can't do it without your help. Please open up your hearts and wallets. It takes a minimum of $3500 per month to help a single child.

A Suitcase For Johnny & Jill
When I was a Commissioner and a Recruiter for the Jail Systems, I visited the jails and met with hundreds of young men and womn 16 and up who were not adopted out of Foster Care or abandoned by parents and survived by living on the streets, doing drugs and selling themselves to survive. During Covid-19 they got sweeped off the streets and for want of space, got housed in the Mental Health Units of County Jails with real Mentally Ill Inmates. They cannot get out. No one wants them even after parole. With no money, no cell phone, no suitcase, no electronics, no clothes other than what they were discharged with, they cannot survive and resort to their old ways to stay alive. As a mother, grandmother, and great grandma I solicit your help. If you know someone like Johnny or Jill, let us help them together and use our collective power to get them off the street bencheds and give them a life they can never dream of.
Are you with me? Please help one Johnny and JILL at a time. We can make a difference even with one life. Are they worth it? Hell Yes! Lets do it. Together.
